  •          2 cups white sugar
  •          4 medium eggs
  •          1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  •          1 teaspoon salt
  •          2 teaspoons baking powder

  1.  Prepare a large mixing bowl and mix together sugar and butter until sugar particles are dissolved and smooth.  Add in salt, flour, and baking powder; combine thoroughly. Cover bowl with tight fitting lid or plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
  2. After chilling, preheat oven to 400° degrees Fahrenheit.  Roll out dough on a floured surface at least ¼ to ½ inch thick. Continue rolling until the batter is completely mixed.  You can put and cut into molders/cookie cutter or you can mold the batter with your bare hands.  Prepare the ungreased cookie sheets and place molded cookies at least 1 inch apart.
  3.  Start baking for 8 minutes until cookies’ edges are golden brown. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes.
  4.  You can now design your cookies using its frosting.

Ingredients (for frosting):
  •   1 cup confectioner’s sugar
  • Assorted food coloring
  •  2 teaspoons light corn syrup
  •  2 teaspoons milk
  •  ¼ teaspoon almond extract

Directions:
  1.  Combine together confectioner’s sugar and milk in a small mixing bowl; mix until smooth.  Afterwards, stir in almond extract and corn syrup until frosting is soft and silky. If icing becomes too thick, pour additional corn syrup until smooth.
  2.  Prepare separate small bowls for each color and divide the icing equally for each bowl.  Mix the coloring and icing, add more coloring if you want a darker shade.
  3.  Dip the baked sugar cookies into the frosting of desired color or you can design anything in the cookies using pastry or piping bags.
  4. After designing, let it dry completely for at least 5-8 hours.
